Mold Remediation: Creating Negative Air

By creating negative air pressure during mold remediation work, our crew members are able to capture mold spores more efficiently.  Reason being is that by creating negative air their is less air movement which also means less mold spore movement.

So how do we create negative air? 

In this scenario we did so by setting up containment which gave us more control of the air flow in and out of the affected area.  Next we set up a hepa air scrubber and instead of allowing it to let out the air it was intaking in the same room, we ducted that air outside using a tube of plastic.  This caused for more air to be going out of the room than what was going in which is was we call "creating negative air"
