Montessori Truck Touch 2019

We had a lot of fun participating in the 2019 Montessori Truck Touch Event.  As you can see in this photo, we created a "wind tunnel" using some of our air movers which were powered by our trailer generator.  We look forward to participating in the years to come!

This year, we participated in our first truck touch event with Montessori School of Charlottesville.  As you can see from the photo, our team had a lot of fun being able to use their creative side in creating our tyvek man.

2018 AHIP Build Day

Some of our team members used a background in carpentry to volunteer their time this fall. We had a great time volunteering with AHIP and CAAR to help build a ramp for a member of the Charlottesville community. See more photos on our Facebook page.

VIA Gala 2018

Our marketing team volunteered to help at the VIA Gala for 2018. They helped greet and check in guests. It was a beautiful evening and a great cause. It looked like all the guests were having a great time, and the volunteers definitely were!

October 2018 SERVPRO of Charlottesville Insurance CE Class

We recently hosted two CE Classes in Charlottesville, VA. They covered Biohazard Cleanup and Smoke Damaged Contents Restoration. The instructor was engaging and informative. Overall, we had a great time!

Veteran and Community Job Fair

We had a great time meeting everyone at the Veteran and Community Job Fair this year. Thank you to everyone who came out! It was humbling to meet so many veterans in our community and inspiring to see the companies that are committed to offering jobs to these men and women.

Charlottesville Community Job Fair

The Charlottesville Community Job Fair was hosted at the John Paul Jones Arena May 5th of 2018.  Sales Marketer, Josh Ott, and Production Manager, Ryan Mitchell said it was a great turn out!  We look forward to attending next year.

Cops 4 Kids 2018

Love this Police Officer drawstring bag that we found and were able to order just in time for the annual Cops 4 Kids event here in Charlottesville.  Inside of the bags were:

On May 4th 2018, the Charlottesville Police Foundation hosted its annual Cops 4 Kids day at the Boys & Girls Club.  Prior to taking this adorable cop car photo booth to the event, our crew members had a little fun with it.

SERVPRO Cookout - Minute To Win It

Of course a cookout is not a cookout if you do not have some fun games to play!  Our first game we played was Minute to win it - Card Ninja.  The object of the game is to get as many cards as you can to stick into the watermelon half by throwing them.  Our first 2 competitors were Mike and Ricky!

On April 22nd 2018, we hosted a cookout for our team at Chris Greene Lake right down the street from our office.   The weather was perfect for grilling hot dogs and hamburgers and spending time outside!

2018 Run For Autism 5k

And they're off!

Hundreds of people joined together on Saturday April 14th to run for the same cause, supporting those with Autism.  One gentleman in particular stood out among the rest.  He is actually a teacher at VIA and in honor of his 7 students, he ran the 5K course 7 times.

We had such a great time being part of the 2018 Run For Autism 5K on Saturday April 14th!  It was truly inspiring to see so many people in our community come together to support those with autism.  A huge thank you to Virginia Institute of Autism for putting the event together.

Pictured at the finish line of the 2018 Run for Autism 5k is Ryan Mitchell.  This was actually Ryan's first 5k and he finished in 89th place out of 684 participants.  Great job Ryan and all those who got up early on a Saturday morning to help support such a great cause here in our Charlottesville Community!

Continuing Education: Ethics & Mold

We had a great turnout at our Continuing Education classes that we hosted on March 29th 2018!

Insurance agents and adjusters attended our three hour Ethics and two hour Mold sessions to learn and gain credits towards their continuing education requirements. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the Hilton Garden Inn Charlottesville for once again allowing us to host a successful event. We look forward to hosting our next CE Class soon!

Angel Tree Donations

WOW....in just a matter of weeks we were able to round up Christmas gifts for 30 children who otherwise would not have had any.  We are greatly appreciative to our employees, the 2 UPS men who took 3 angels when making a delivery to our office, all of our clients who participated, and especially to the Charlottesville Salvation Army for orchestrating the Angel Tree.

On November 17th 2017 we hosted our first continuing education (CE) class.  The topic was Restorative Drying for Water Damage.  We had a great turnout and great feedback from agents and adjusters in Charlottesville and surrounding areas.  Thank you to everyone who attended.  We look forward to hosting more in the future!

On October 18th of 2017 we had a surprise company cookout when our crew members returned from a hard days work.  Following all the delicious food was a pumpkin carving contest!  It was so great being able to have all of our co-workers together having some competitive fun.  Amy and Larry tied for the first place prize, Josh won 2nd place, and Joe won a prize for being the first one to finish.

And as luck would have it, we have been spotted by the same person!  Only this time she spotted our marketer, Josh, in the Juke.  Angela, you are pretty good at spotting the green.  I wonder who you will spot next?

During October of 2017 we started an event called Spot The Green!  The contest goes like this...If you spot one of our vehicles out and about take a picture and post it on our facebook page and we will send you a prize!!  This month the prize is a Personal Safety Emergency Pack.  Great job Angela for spotting Chris in his truck!

On October 11th 2017 Montague, Miller & Company invited us to come give a presentation on our services during one of their morning meetings.  Those that attended had a lot of great questions for us to address and we greatly enjoyed the opportunity.  Here was our table setup of the event.

This was the first tournament Ryan was able to participate in with SERVPRO of Charlottesville and neither him or Josh had played at Greene Hills before so they both really enjoyed getting the opportunity to play a new course.

Golf Tournament

August 18th 2017 some of our team members participated in the Mid-Valley Claims Association 9th Annual Golf Tournament.  Accounting/HR Admin - Amy Yates volunteered to drive around a drink cart to players and our Marketing Rep - Josh Ott along with friends Bill Farmer, Kevin Hale, and Jeremy Rowe form a team and from the looks of it they all had quite a bit of fun.  We are looking forward to next years tournament!

As of June 2017, we have started a monthly crossword puzzle contest for businesses in our area.  All crossword puzzles that are filled out and returned to us by the given date are entered to win some delicious duck donuts and coffee, along with some other goodies, delivered by our SMR Josh Ott.

Lynchburg Claims Assoc. 2017 Golf Outing

What a great day to play golf at the beautiful course of Poplar Grove.  Proceeds for this event went to benefit the LCA Scholarship and Community Fund.  Congrats to our sister franchise SERVPRO of Lynchburg / Bedford & Campbell Counties for winning the tournament!
