Lite Soot Damage in Charlottesville Home

The above photos were taken at a home here in Charlottesville after experiencing a fire damage in August of 2017.  The fire was caused by a breaker box having a malfunction.  Fortunately the extent of damage was rather lite.  What looks like dust covering the floor and the surfaces of the contents is actually a thin coating of soot.

Because soot is particulate and as light as air, the particles can easily travel everywhere that air can travel.  That is why soot manages too spread so far throughout a home including into every nook and cranny.  But have no fear, SERVPRO is Here to Help.
